hey riku, if we can see stars that are super far away does that mean we see better at night than we do in the daytime?
you know! we can see stars really brightly at night time but we can't see them at all during the day!
[Hello, bestie...]
[Hello, bestie...]
[Because Riku is a good bestie! Look at him questioning it but still answering Sora.]
yeah riku, you always have a way better way at explaining things!
so we can't see the stars because it's too bright? doesn't that still mean we have better vision at night time??

[gottttem.]

[ Sometime during the week leading towards Valentine's Day, Riku will come home to find a small box with a pair of chocolate flowers.
Perhaps he has someone to share it with, or perhaps he doesn't, but if not, then there's just more for Riku. The display is not quite as elaborate as what she left for Sora and Vanitas, but there is a note that reads: ]
To Riku:
I hope you don't mind. I stopped by with some Valentine's chocolate for Sora and Vanitas, and I thought you might enjoy some as well. I know we don't know each other that well, but feel free to come by the Harvest if you would like more, or if you ever find yourself in need of a meal.
Sincerely,
- Susato Mikotoba

[When they were little and growing up Sora always made a habit of giving both Riku and Kairi chocolates and a little card on Valentine's day. Back when he was innocent enough to not really understand that it was a day about love but more that he just loved to give the two of them chocolates to see them smile. He always loved giving Riku his little box wrapped up with too much tape and awkwardly folded at the corners. Riku would always tease him but Sora always got this tiny little smile that Sora would think was just for him.
Now that he's missed a few years of chocolates in between? It's only fair that Sora sneaks in a bit more to make up for it. About halfway through the day Riku might find himself with a little delivery. A box (wrapped much more neatly) with a collection of salty chocolate pretzels inside as well as a four-pack of chocolate cupcakes.]
happy valentine's riku! you better eat them!

Riku -
I was hoping you'd have a moment to discuss a matter I've been researching. It's something of a personal nature to me, so I would prefer to approach a friend - and you have both the experience, intellect, and maturity that leads me to believe your insight would be invaluable.
Given that I've exhausted books which appear to be relevant on this subject - might I lean on your experience?

Thank you for your time and understanding.
As you’re all-too aware, I had been without my heart for a significant time. Some emotions are entirely new to me.
My question is two part.
1) How does one know what they’re feeling is (in colloquial terms) a “crush”
and
2) What does one do about it?

1) How does one know what they’re feeling is (in colloquial terms) a “crush”

Several reasons.
1) You have been in possession of your heart through most of your adolescent development into adulthood;
2) You are an intelligent and mature individual who is not prone to flights of fancy while …
3) You act on your feelings when it’s important to you and helps those you consider friends;
and lastly
4) You have proven track record of having a crush and even stronger feelings still.
… I don’t believe I’m mistaken, but if you don’t feel prepared to tackle this sort of topic, I understand. It’s a bit embarrassing, though I assure you, it has not been easy for me to ask this.
[ Hence why it’s been weeks and weeks since he first realized … ]

I see.
That does seem to align with behaviors I’ve witnessed in others. [ like Riku but he doesn’t call him explicitly out again. ]
…
…
So what should one do about it?
