I can only tell you what he said. The first six members were apprentices to Ansem the Wise. Seven and Eight joined after that. I'm pretty sure they were just there, but don't quote me on that.

i honestly wonder about the actual existence of Nobodies, because they seem so different from Heartless. at least, the ones in the Organization. were there any other Nobodies with abilities like yours that you encountered that weren't part of it?
That weren't part of the Organization? No. Well not with our sentience. I used to have lesser Nobodies that answered to me, and they had their own powers. There's all kinds of Nobodies it's just those that are like people was just our group, as far as I know.
The Dancers don't listen to me anymore, not since my first exit...and even if they did when I came back, they wouldn't now.
that's pretty telling in of itself. i wish i'd had more time to read Ansem's notes...

if you have a strong enough heart to maintain a physical form when you lose it, there could be a correlation between that and keyblades. but as we only know Roxas, Axel and Xion have summoned one out of the whole Organization, there's not a whole lot of info to go on.
